Install Codex Dream Skin on macOS
A review-first macOS installation path for the open-source Codex Dream Skin project.
Get the current upstream source
Open Fei-Away/Codex-Dream-Skin, review the README and release state, then clone or download it. Avoid repackaged installers from unknown sites.
Run the macOS installer
Inside the macos folder, use the provided Install Codex Dream Skin.command launcher or its documented install script.
Start and verify
Launch the Start command, then run Verify. Confirm that the real sidebar, composer, task view, and menus remain interactive.
Customize carefully
Use a wide image you own. Keep detailed subjects away from reading columns and preserve enough panel contrast.
Keep Restore nearby
Use Restore before troubleshooting Codex updates or when you no longer need the CDP session.
